Led lens design

Freeform lens design for LED collimating illumination. Jin-Jia Chen, Te-Yuan Wang, Kuang-Lung Huang, Te-Shu Liu, Ming-Da Tsai, and Chin-Tang Lin. Low optical efficiency of light-emitting diode ( LED ) based headlamp is one of the most important issues to obstruct applications of LEDs in headlamp.

An effective high-efficient LED headlamp freeform lens design method is introduced in this paper. Design of high-efficient freeform LED lens for illumination of elongated rectangular regions.

Fresnel lenses , and pillow lenses.

Secondary optics are used to create the desired appearance and beam pattern of the LED signal lamp.

The following section details the optical characteristics and optical model creation for Lumileds SuperFlux LEDs. In addition, simple techniques to aid in the design of. Many off the shelf TIR collimating lens sold designed by our firm. On the optics pages on our site, we try to list all the different angles and FWHM for each LED we carry. Incandescents illuminate in 3degrees but LEDs are directional, illuminating only 1degrees.

Design of LED refractive optics with predetermined balance of ray deflection angles between inner and outer surfaces. Image Processing Systems Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, 1Molodogvardeyskaya . Light flux from LED must be redistributed to meet the needs of lighting in most cases, a new method is proposed for its secondary optic design. Based on refractive equation and energy conservation, a set of first-order partial differential equations which represent the characters of LED source and desired . Runge–Kutta formulas are used to calculate the differential equations to design the freeform surface. Moreover, the optical model for uniform illumination is simulated and optical performance is analyzed.

A practical freeform surface lens for LED uniform illumination is fabricated using an injection molding method. Design of primary optics for LED chip array in road lighting application. Wuhan National Laboratory for Optoelectronics, School of Optoelectronic Science and Engineering, Huazhong. Catadioptric freeform optical system design for LED off-axis road illumination applications.

Zhengbo Zhu, Donglin Ma, Qiaomu Hu, Yongqian Tang, and Rongguang Liang Opt. Abstract: The study is focused on the asymmetric secondary freeform lens. The whole LED streetlight can be constructed if only mounts these LED modules on the planar PCB plate. The mechanism, thermal management, and the power control electronics of the LED streetlight become very simple.
